3. those from number 2 when they drive in the passing lane
4. toilet paper put on the roll with the lose part going under

6. having my grammar corrected, when it was already correct
7. stupid people in power
8. stupid people not in power but on a power kick
9. have i mentioned flow charts at all...
10. family channel for airing 7th heaven in place of smallville

i am sure there were more irritations today, but the ten above (and flow charts) are the ones that stick out in my mind at this time...

single greatest site in the entire world...

okay for those of you who don't know me very well, my favorite day of the week happens to be trash day...there is nothing more exciting to me than purging leftovers...i get a sick thrill throwing out things that have expired. once at my parents house i found a bottle of chloraseptic spray that expired in 1994!! this was just last year...2005! it was such a rush finding it and tossing it out....so today while reading the news i came across this site... enjoy!!

apparently, and really it makes sense, hallmark doesn't publish all of the greeting cards they create. today in the news there was an article about those cards that never get to see the light of day...

in addition to the one above, this other gem of a card was among the rejects (i can't image why?!)

bad, bad girl...day two, blogging from work...

so i am still on a high after finding out that i am officially going to prague (well officially i have off work, technically i don't have any travel arragnements...yet...) so anyway, i thought i would use todays blog as a geography lesson...for those of you who may not know where prague is (and you know who you are ;-) !!!).

first off, prague is located in the czech republic, as you can see it is kind of in the middle of everything on this map.

i hope to when i am in prague have the opportunity to travel to some other nearby countries...mostly i would love to go to budapest (which is the capital of Hungary), it would be great to go to romania too.....but that is a bit farther...oh well.....germany is close as well (but i have already been there...but only to the western parts), and poland is also really close. for those of you who have seen eurotrip, the tiny country to the lower right of the czech republic is slovakia or the slovak republic, known for its capital bratislava...this county used to be part of the czech republic when it was known as czechoslovakia.

okay well i have a meeting in a bit, one of the many downfalls to blogging from work...i must actually do some...happy friday!

blogging from work...bad girl...

so i am at work...i really shouldn't be updating my blog from here, but i don't particulary like my job...so...i don't really feel that bad about blogging from here...

anyway, i received some exciting news yesterday, i am going to Prague!! my work isn't so generous with vacation days (i get four weeks paid vacation a year!! so go figure...), it can be really tricky getting time off work approved...but yesterday, i got up the nerve and talked to my boss about it, and she very quickly approved my time off to go to Prague! i am really excited, Prague has been in my top 5 citites to visit list for quite some time...

oh and in some other good, random news i have just found out that absithne is legal in Prague, that they actually make it there...i have really been wanting to try it, but it is not legal in the states and it is hard to find places where you can actually buy it...so i am happy to find out that once in Prague i will be able to try some absithne!!

strange things are afoot at the circle k...

...0r as we say in English, "Happy St. Patrick's Day". Todays horribly fuzzy picture, is actually a picture of a picture...it is me in front of St. James's Gate in Dublin, Ireland. St. James's Gate is a giant gate located on the property of the Guinness Brewery...

I was in Ireland back in 2001...it was a great trip and I would love to go back again some day. And of course tonight being St. Patrick's Day, like the good Irish girl that I am, I plan to go out and have a couple pints of Guinness...the best beer ever!! None of this green beer crap...not for me...I drink the real thing on St. Pat's Day.

today was stressful...

work was a bit too much for me...so for tonight i plan on doing nothing and that includes a short blog entry...

just a perfect day...drink sangria in the park...

...and then later, when it gets dark, we'll go home... 

my cigarette, my love...

for years now i have been a smoker...i had my first cigarette at the age of 12, on the front porch of a friends house in the middle of the night....i started buying them by the pack at the age of 16...by the time i was 18 i was smoking around a pack a day. when i was 19 i started bartending and my habit got up to around 2 packs a day. about a year ago, maybe a bit later i started trying to quit....i have managed to get my addiction under control for the most part, i went from a little over 1 pack a day to one pack a week, one pack a month, to not even buying them. but i still was able to smoke at my parents house, so every weekend on sundays when i am there for dinner i still have been having anywhere from 1 - 4 (or more....), but tonight, (sunday!) i did something i have not done in a long time, i didn't smoke at all....i realize it isn't a huge accomplishment, but for me it really is....after smoking full time for over 10 years i finally feel like i might be able to be free of my addiction....
for the past year i have been trying to be healthier, i am quickly approaching 30....and i figured it was time to start taking better care of my body, so i try every day to do some form of cardio and a few months ago i started doing yoga every day....i try to eat only food that is good for me and i definitely don't eat fast food. i don't really drink very much so that has never been a concern for me, but the cigarettes were still a part of my life, and now i am really hoping that i am going to be able to overcome this...one day at a time...

nothing happpened again today...

nothing really happened today, i got up, did some yoga, had a burrito for lunch and some sushi for dinner...the weather was warm and nice for early march....other than that nothing much else happened... 

warm, pretty day...

it was warm today, so for the pic, i decided to show a giant field of sunflowers to represent the warm, sunny day...this field is actually somewhere in northern new york state...there are two fields of sunflowers on either side of a back road, it is really pretty....and kind of odd that there are two random fields of sunflowers out in the middle of nowhere, but i guess if you are in the sunflower business and you really want to go big with them, the middle of nowhere is the place to be........ 

i may be broken...

well yesterday was the big day......my first day snowboarding...wow, i have never felt such pain in my life...notice the picture posted for today, yeah this is not me, not even close to me. if this person were splatted on the side of the mountain, flailing to get up, yeah that would be much closer to how i looked yesterday. not this graceful gliding down the mountain...show off! ;-) the expression, 'every muscle in my body hurts' had to have first been said by someone who had recently been snowboarding, cause it is really true for me today. however even with as much pain as i am in today, it was actually a lot of fun...

the sixth of march two thousand and six...

well it seems that winter is drawing to an end...the weather here in my area of the world is getting warmer every day...however, this week before the thaw finally takes hold of us here, i am going snowboarding for the first time ever. i have never even been skiing before...so this is sure to be an interesting time...lets all just keep our fingers crossed that i don't end up like sonny...

this chubby animal is my other cat, spicy. spicy was a stray...she came to me very thin with frozen ears, the tips were so brittle i was afraid they would break off. after some time, her ears healed (and did not fall off!)...and she fattened up into the tubby cat that is seen today in this picture. she is also the sweetest cat i have ever experienced....even though she is not so much with the smarts......but i wouldn't trade her for any other kitty....she is my fluffy spicy cat... 

the fourth day of march...

todays picture is of my new bike, well not exactly the entire bike, but as you can see the handlbars. after years of procrastination i finally broke down and bought it! took it out this afternoon for a quick spin and realized that i am not as in good of shape as i had thought...i ride a recumbent bike several times a week, so i figured that i was all set to take off and ride miles of the open road on my new mountain bike...wow, was i ever wrong, after five minutes my thighs were burning...my lungs were gasping from the crisp winter air, this was not like riding the staionary bike in the safety of my home....this was a real workout! aside from the physical agony of the bike ride, it was fun to feel like a kid again, to have the wind whipping around my face....and to have my nose start running uncontrollably after the first few minutes...but i am looking forward to all the fun i hope that my bike and i have in the coming years...

this strange looking creature is pookie, my cat. pookie is an odd one...she gets herself into all sorts of unusual situations, this one happens to be a gym bag...pookie and i have been coexisting for a little over 10 years now...look forward to many other pookie pics...
