the criminalization of allergy sufferers...

hi, my name is 'c', i am an allergy sufferer...
sure of course i am not an addict or a criminal, but ask my local grocery store if they feel that way. yesterday while buying over the counter medication, which is what my insurance company said for me to use when they discontinued providing prescription medication for my allergies, i was carded! yes you heard that correct, carded!!! for allergy medication.
when asked why i was told that there is an ingredient in over the counter allergy medication that is used in meth. okay now i don't know about you, but i sure don't look like a meth user or dealer...at least i don't think that i do.
but here at my local grocery store they feel that there is a chance that i may be dealing meth...therefore making me a criminal by carding me for medication that my insurance company is making me buy.
here is the best part, since i clearly am over 18...it is okay for them to sell it to me, but had i been under the age of 18, nope i would be sol! that doesn't make any sense to me...since i am over 18 obviously i either can't be a meth dealer or if i am, who cares, they will sell it to me...
but if i am under 18 either i am most certainly a meth deal so they can't sell it to me!? huh!? this just doesn't make sense...what does the age of 18 have to do with any of this! i started taking prescription allergy medication in my early teens....and i if it had been over the counter then i may have had to buy some at one time or another, but no...i would not be allowed!
really, what is next?! condoms? that would make a bit more sense...or how about tampons, or advil? or why not even bread...yeast could be used in something sinister! really, how far are we going to let this go? until we live in a police state where our ever move is watched...oh wait, we are already there! silly me! damn the amendments, the constitution, lets just throw those out the window...who needs 'em! right? we have the check out girl at the grocery store there to tell us how to live our lives and what we can and can't buy!!

One of my roomies in college was carded at Super Wal-Mart for buying a certain kind of glue. (I don't recall what kind.) Again, just because she's over 18 that completely rules out the chance she's going to sniff it? And, no, she didn't. lol
I think that just for fun I'm going to remind them that ammonia can be used when making a bomb. As long as Home Depot doesn't card me when buying the fertilizer -- jackpot!
to any reading this - the above comment in no way indicates that I am going to make a bomb, or that I would even know what to do with said ingredients.
except perhaps to make my grass greener and floors shiny?
no kidding...so glue is another item that you get carded for...wow...really what kind of society are we becoming...it is scary...
grande, no worries i would never suspect you as someone who would know what to do with any of those ingredients!
